In a small chat, Monali spoke about her experience working with the popular music composer of Bollywood.

“Pritam was the first person whom I met after I came to Mumbai after Indian Idol. He supported me so nicely and I got to experience Bollywood recording for the first time. Pritam has been really an amazing person to me and it has been amazing working with him, Monali shared.

Favourite holiday destination: New Zealand, because my wife and I had the best of our days there and especially because it was our honeymoon.
Favourite actors: I think every actor will refer to Mr Bachchan, and I am nothing different.
My heart dances with joy at the thought of: Whenever I am happy, I feel like dancing. Be it a new project or a good film, or anything that makes me happy.
I look back to the day when: I started my career, and it gets me the feeling ‘Oh God! 12 years. Too long.’
A song I can’t resist to groove on: I cannot name just one. I like all the old numbers of Mr Bachchan like apni toh jaise taise.

One thing I would like to change about myself: Mr Bachchan had once said that ‘zindagi mein aage badhne ke liye aapko ‘na’ bolna padtha hain’, and that’s exactly what I cannot do. It is very difficult for me to say ‘no’ to anyone for anything. Also, I would like to start reading a lot and play more sports.
Any Phobia: I just want to see my family happy, and the very thought of losing them, scares me a lot.
I miss: My dad.

He always thinks for the betterment of the show wherein he does not bring in any ego hassles between us, which I really love. We both know that we are working together to make the show better and we do not run behind our individual lines. He is always very easy and, he is the first co-host with whom I sit and have lunch every single day of the shoot. Otherwise I used to take time to chill out and cool off. But here, Hussain and I really look forward for our lunch break because, that is the time when we sit and chat about different things like, films and about funny people. I like Hussain. Also, he has this peculiar laugh that he gives whenever he does not feel like laughing. That’s a very funny laugh and when he does that I always understand that he is faking it”, shared Mini.

A different dream on Indian Idol

Unlike the other aspiring singers, Vanraj Thakur when entered the Judges’ Room did not have the intention of getting into the Indian Idol Mumbai list. He came to the Kolkata auditions just to have a glance at his childhood love and if possible, to get a hug.
Vanraj has been in love with Sunidhi Chauhan since he was 16 years old. The innocent boy has been making a diary filled with Sunidhi’s pictures and articles.
He knew that Sunidhi would give him a hug once she comes to know about him. And finally he went in.
The pure smile and the blush on his face brought a smile on all judges’ face. He eagerly showed his diary and also the T-shirt on which his friends had written about Sunidhi for him. He also sang for her and finally he got what he wanted the most.
The warm hug from Sunidhi. Vanraj was on the top of the world.
He bid adieu to the judges happily after his only dream got fulfilled.
